2005-2008

The years 2005-2008 were certainly among the happiest for the painter. Thanks to his friends François Bossière, Yu Shuo and Chen Xiao Mu, whom we can never thank enough, Roland Buraud exhibited at the Tianjin Museum with François Bossières for the year of France in China in 2005. His large black triptychs found the space there to find an audience fascinated by what echoed "body landscapes", not far from traditional Chinese landscape painting. There he met the greatest masters of the genre, including the painter Chen Da Li, and formed a deep friendship in a harmonious dialogue between the two pictorial cultures. The following year, he gave seminars on Western drawing at the University of Xi An. In four years, he made three unforgettable trips that would deeply mark his work. It was on this occasion that he created the series of Sinusoïdes , digital inks made from his inks on paper.
