Paintings

At the age of five, he locked himself in a large cardboard box to think. From the age of thirteen, he drew and painted. Then he left for Paris in 1967, and the Beaux-Arts. The representation of the body was his one and only pictorial preoccupation: lying, sand-covered, standing, impaled, dancing, recumbent, carried, suspended, evanescent, alone, in pairs, or in a landscape, falling, or disappearing. Roland Buraud's work, interrupted too soon, includes more than three hundred paintings of all formats.
